They cranked it up with the thumping bass of “The Clock”, Yorke’s vocals laden with effects, against a shifting backdrop of rainbow geometric shapes He took command of the stage, moving from synths to mic at the front of the stage with ease. Dressed casually, Yorke was a mesmeric stage presence whose snaking moves, inhabiting every twitchy beat or throbbing bassline, immersed the listener still further in his compelling experimental techno soundscapes. With Godrich switching between animated synth-playing and backing vocals and guitar, it was very much a live gig. It was a thrilling beginning that set the tone for the night.
